Our Team

Our success has everything to do with our dedicated team. During your stay our team will ensure your Baraka Point holiday is an unforgettable experience. If you require any assistance during your stay our team, without exception, will be happy to assist in any way possible.

“If you are thinking of booking this amazing property do not think twice… There is not a better team anywhere, nor a better villa to have a complete private resort vacation in all of the Caribbean. There is a reason Vineyard Vines highlighted Baraka Point as a “Real Good Place" -- it's the best.”

Corey Kidd

General Manager

Corey moved with Arianne to Virgin Gorda in 2012. When they would chat about their future, they had always dreamed of living in the tropics and when the opportunity presented itself to move to the British Virgin Islands they did not hesitate to jump on the chance. Upon their arrival, Corey helped the owners of Baraka and their friends who were opening a new restaurant, CocoMaya. Corey then joined Baraka Point in 2014 and has found a home among the close-knit team. Corey is happy to assist in any way he can, but his specialty is whipping up island inspired cocktails.

Arianne Morgan

Guest Services Manager/Concierge

Arianne moved to Virgin Gorda from Canada in 2012 with Corey to help the owners of Baraka Point and their friends in opening a new restaurant on Virgin Gorda, CocoMaya. The initial move was made sight unseen and they said, “let’s give it a year and take it from there.” Needless to say, they think they made a pretty good decision and haven’t looked back. Arianne joined Corey and the Baraka Point team in 2019. Besides being an amazing host to our guests, she also offers calming yoga sessions on our Horizon Deck. Arianne is here to make sure that you have the vacation of a lifetime and is happy to assist in any way possible, so do not hesitate to ask her.

Rey is a genius with wood, creating anything from hand carvings to cabinetry. Rey comes from the Philippines and has been on Virgin Gorda longer than any other team member. Rey’s great sporting passions are fishing, basketball, and his native boxing hero Mani Paquio.

In charge of our lush grounds, Marcel joined our team just after Hurricane Irma completely destroyed the gardens. Originally from St. Lucia, Marcel is single-handedly responsible for restoring Baraka’s tropical oasis to its current beauty. If you want some fresh coconut water, let us know and we’ll get Marcel to crack one open for you. Oh, and be sure to thank him for his part in Pizza and Bonfire Night - he cuts the wood!

Candice, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, has become the newest member of the Baraka Point Team in 2022 as the Reservations and Marketing Manager. She moved to Virgin Gorda in 2018 with her now husband “Chef Tommy”, their dog/baby bear Ryder and hasn’t looked back at her previous life sitting behind a desk 8 hours a day. Her new passion is hospitality and Baraka Point. From the first moment she stepped foot on Baraka’s property, Candice knew this was a spectacular place and couldn’t wait to share that experience with guests.
