Getting To Baraka Point Estate
Regardless of how you travel to Virgin Gorda, a member of Baraka Point's staff will be at your point of arrival on Virgin Gorda to greet and escort you to the property. We will coordinate to have your rental car waiting with us at your point of arrival so that you can follow us up to Baraka Point, a 10 minute drive.
At Baraka Point guests are given a tour and light refreshments as part of our Welcome Reception.
Arriving in the Caribbean
From the USA, fly from your nearest airport to SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico or ST. THOMAS, USVI, then transfer to Virgin Gorda by air or sea.
From the UK, fly from London with Virgin Atlantic or British Airways to ANTIGUA.
From France, fly from Paris with Air France or KLM to ST. MARTIN.
From Spain, fly Iberia to SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico.
From Italy and Germany fly to London or Paris first then on to Antigua or St Martin.
To get to Baraka Point from San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua or St. Martin, we HIGHLY recommend that our guests travel DIRECTLY to Virgin Gorda with either a commercial airline or private charter.
Arriving DIRECT to Virgin Gorda by PLANE

Commercial airlines that fly to Virgin Gorda DIRECT include: Seaborne and Air Sunshine. They both have daily flights from San Juan.
Private Charter Flights from SAN JUAN, ST. THOMAS, ANTIGUA & ST. MARTIN direct to VIRGIN GORDA:
Charter flights, available through two BVI companies, allow our guests to avoid lay-overs in busy Caribbean airports. The charter pilots meet you on the tarmac after ground handling staff direct you through the airport and assist you with your bags, immigration clearance, etc., to make the trip as easy as possible. The whole process happens seamlessly; guests are usually on the charter plane in less than half an hour from the time they land in the 4 major Caribbean hubs and collect their bags. Planes are stocked with chilled beer, Coke/Pepsi and spring water for the journey to Virgin Gorda where our guests are met at the airport by Baraka Point staff.

Commercial airlines that fly to Beef Island, Tortola include: Seaborne, Liat, Cape Air and Air Sunshine.

Commercial flights from St. Thomas to Beef Island, Tortola are operated by Liat.
Private Jet Charters from SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico to TORTOLA:
We recommend Trade Wind Aviation for larger private jets. The Virgin Gorda airport isn't large enough for these types of private charters so they must land at Beef Island, Tortola and transfer to Virgin Gorda by private boat.
From Tortola (Beef Island/Trellis) we recommend a Private Boat or the North Sound Express Ferry to Virgin Gorda. The crossing takes 20 minutes and private charters are booked on our guests' behalves by Baraka Point staff. For more information on private boats & ferry schedules please see below.

Private Water Taxi
The private water taxi is operated by Dohm's Water Taxis. You can only take this option to travel from St Thomas to Virgin Gorda if your flight lands early enough on St Thomas (by 1:30PM) to clear customs on Virgin Gorda or Tortola by 4PM. Dohm's arranges for you to be met at St Thomas airport and taken by taxi to Red Hook. The cost for the taxi transfer is $15 per person plus $20 per person for BVI immigration charges. From TRELLIS/BEEF ISLAND, Torola to VIRGIN GORDA:
North Sound Express Ferry
For guests arriving at Beef Island who do not wish to charter a private boat to Virgin Gorda the North Sound Express ferry service departs several times a day from the airport ferry dock. The journey to Virgin Gorda takes 20 to 45mins depending on number of stops the ferry makes. Ferry tickets are $30-$40 round trip per person. Reservations must be made in advance.
