Getting To Baraka Point Estate

Regardless of how you travel to Virgin Gorda, a member of Baraka Point's staff will be at your point of arrival on Virgin Gorda to greet you and escort you to the property (10 minutes) in one of Baraka Point's two 4 x 4 SUVs, which you may wish to rent during your stay. At Baraka Point you will be given a tour and light refreshments as part of our Welcome Reception.

From the USA, fly from your nearest airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico or St Thomas, USVI, then transfer to Virgin Gorda by air or sea.

From the UK, fly from Gatwick to Antigua and transfer by commercial air. From France, fly Air France/KLM to St Martin; from Spain, fly Iberia to San Juan, Puerto Rico; from Italy and Germany fly to London or Paris first then on to Antigua or St Martin. All European flights arriving at San Juan, Puerto Rico or Antigua must then transfer by air to Virgin Gorda on a private charter or to Beef Island on commercial Liat flights.

To get to Baraka Point from San Juan/St Thomas (USVI) or Antigua/St Martin, we HIGHLY recommend that our guests travel DIRECTLY to Virgin Gorda by private charter flight or commercial Air Sunshine flight (not available from Antigua/St Martin-European guests must private charter or fly with the commercial airline Liat. This saves you time and the risk of having your bags turn up late, which often happens when flying to Beef Island/Tortola on Liat or American Eagle.

From St Thomas you also have the option of a private water taxi (Dohm's Water Taxis) or a private power boat charter if you do not wish to fly on small aircraft (5-9 seat charters).

If you prefer to travel by larger commercial aircraft to Beef Island/Tortola you can either take the North Sound Express Airport Ferry to Virgin Gorda OR we can book a private charter boat to collect you, which we strongly recommend.

Private Charter Flights from San Juan/St Thomas, Antigua & St Martin DIRECT to Virgin Gorda:

Charter flights, available through two BVI companies, allow our guests to avoid lay-overs in busy Caribbean airports, as well as departure and luggage delays. The charter pilot meets your party at the relevant airport on arrival, directs you through customs, assists with the collection of luggage, and accompanies you through the departure gates. This process happens seamlessly; you are usually on the charter plane in less than an hour so long as there is no delay in collecting bags. Planes are stocked with chilled beer, Coke/Pepsi and spring water for the journey to Virgin Gorda where you are met at the airport by Baraka Point staff.
