Beaches
Discerning castaways have their choice of three fantastic beaches at Baraka Point- through our gardens and down some steps you will find one of the island's quietest beaches. Set up camp for the day with the outdoor SONOS music system, padded loungers and an over-sized built-in day bed tucked up under a sea grape tree. Chilling out doesn't get any better...
Enjoy picnic lunches, sunset cocktail parties and evening bonfires on the beach and take a guided tour of the spectacular house reef at Baraka Point--more advanced snorkellers can visit Mountain Point just off in the distance. The area around Baraka Point is an underwater paradise with corals that are home to a large variety of fish, hawksbill turtles and rays.
Guests can also take Baraka Point's 4 x4 Beach Buggy to two other beaches nearby; Mountain Trunk beach is two minutes away and Long Bay is a five minute ride. Regardless of which beach you choose, you will spend your days soothing your mind and body in sun-drenched surroundings cooled by trade breezes, while the team at Baraka Point take care of your every need.
Baraka Boats
At Baraka Point we offer a comprehensive water sports program off the beach which includes water-skiing (mono, beginner, and children's mini-skis are also available), wake-boarding, wake-surfing, an air chair, tubing & donuting. Extra charges apply. Please ask...
Sail Fast...Live Slow
The British Virgin Islands are considered one of the sailing capitals of the world. A day sail or sunset cruise aboard the Spirit of Anegada (http://www.spiritofanegada.com) can be arranged with a hamper filled with your favourite sunset cocktails and nibbles or our chefs can prepare a more elaborate picnic to be enjoyed on board.
Dive the BVI...
The BVI also offer incredible diving opportunities for all levels. Visit coral gardens, the Wreck of the Rhone and the Indians to name a few of the top spots. Lessons are available through Dive BVI (http://www.divebvi.com) if you need to become certified or take a refresher course.
Island hop...
Explore the islands and cays of the BVI aboard a luxury Sunseeker (http://www.limincharters.com). Other power boat charters are available for exploring the many islands of the archipelago-try snorkeling at Monkey Point on Guana Island, drop anchor at the Soggy Dollar Bar followed by lunch at Foxy's-a local micro-brewery and beach side restaurant.
A Hobie Catamaran is available for experienced sailors or we can take you out for a tour of the bays surrounding Baraka Point. We also have two sea kayaks & 14 snorkeling sets available on a complimentary basis.
Guests can also enjoy snorkeling trips on our 25 foot luxury Nautica RIB with shade cover & hydraulic ramp for pick ups right off the beach. Our boats are moored at Baraka Point for easy access and captained by us for insurance reasons. Local and deep-sea fishing charters are also available. For big game fishing there is a wahoo tournament in March and a marlin tournament in July. Extra charges apply for charters and trips on our RIB.
* Please note that while we endeavour to keep our RIB operational at all times, due to the nature of harsh marine conditions it may be the case that our boat may be out of the water if an unforeseen repair is required. If inclement weather arises, Baraka Point's boats and water toys/equipment are not available for use for safety reasons.
